This particular model is the Exynos version, so the optical one. This is the European model, this Snapdragon 835, that we have in the Xiaomi Mi 6, so six gigabytes of RAM on the v6 and we get four gigabytes on the Samsung Galaxy s8. This has a 64 gigabytes of storage. U FS! 2.0! So does this one both have very quick speeds. I will show you benchmarks of that in a second, but I first wanted to cover the design. So we get a not so traditional aspect ratio on the galaxy 8, so a longer screen. That means that we get more usability out of the screen. Well, not really we've got on screen buttons, which I don't particularly like same things, moving doing that and we have capacitive buttons on the me 896. Sorry, which is fine and good, and a front facing fingerprint reader, so 1440p screen on the s8 and then a 1080p screen on the me 6. Both of these screens have very good, brightness and it's hard to tell the difference between both of them, this being 1440p and this being 1080p looking at them, you almost need to get a microscope to see the difference. They are both very good displays but I'm going to have to say that the viewing angles on the air side are just a little bit better and overall it's a much brighter screen. Also in direct sunlight – and I do like the deep blacks we get with the AMOLED panel there now the cameras on the rear 12 megapixel.

This has an F, 1.7 aperture, 1440. Sorry, a 4k maximum resolution. You can record and also 4k on the dual setup camera set up on the me on the me 6. So the me 6 has 2 12 megapixel sensors. One of them has a fixed two times: optical zoom, the other one has for access optical image stabilization. It is a Sony IMX, three, eight six Center now in terms of quality. I do have a comparison, so you can check out that video. I won't go to any detail in this video, but just to say that the video quality comes out better. On the Samsung front, facing 8 megapixel cameras, Samsung is the winner there, but when it comes to the still quality between two of these cameras here, sometimes the me6 can actually take a more detailed image. Then my galaxy is eight as I've proven and that comparison there and I find that sometimes the colors just seem to be a little bit better on than me, six, so very close in daylight. But overall the all rounded cameras have to be this one. Here. The SI, which i think is a lot better now both of them have waterproof well. This is waterproof and splash proof designs in hand. They feel very good, almost identical, because they're both very solid well put together the fit and finish on both of them is perfect type c ports on the bottom and fast charging. Now we've got one loudspeaker on the Galaxy s8 and we have two loudspeakers on the Mi 6.

So we've got two speaker that's built into the earpiece there, and if you see my unboxing video, you can hear how that sounds. So in terms of performance. Both of these similar, but there is a huge difference when it comes to the rom stability. Now the me six, what is happening with this is it's crashing a lot. I find that it's often unstable it. Wouldn'T then want to actually run cpu z at at times. It crashed and the whole phone is rebooted itself. The UI has also reset itself, so the UI is completely unstable, Bixby or Bix lag, as I sometimes like to call. It is stable now it's most of the time it is quick and snappy. However, I've got it in performance mode, because I have a 1440p screen that's what I paid for and that's what I want it to run in so sometimes I noticed that when you go to recent apps that you do see some lag and it caused Bixby existence And all this other crap, as I see it, that I never wanted on, there gets kind of forced upon other than that. I do feel that as an improvement over TouchWiz, which I used to call touch leg and then on here, we've got me MIUI8 and the performance of it is build, apart from what I just mentioned before, that it's completely unstable, so both of these aren't really ideal. I would love to see a version of stock Android on both of these mobile phones, but I guess it's never going to happen.

I can keep dreaming there. You know another thing that the music's has that the dance Samsung Galaxy, if it does not, is an IR transmitter at the top, so you're someone that needs to have an IR transmitter. You want to control your air conditioning various other appliances. Then of course that's. The only option they're on to benchmark so they're very similar here. This is Geekbench fourscore and almost identical. No real difference in this and two two scores almost the same, but the Mi 6 is a little bit faster there. As you can see, it gets a slightly higher score when it comes to well, literally everything. There is slightly higher than my Samsung Galaxy s8. Now the internal storage speed, sir. Both of them have UFS 2.1 drives and they are blazing fast. I mean look at these scores. The Samsung Galaxy is eight wins. He gets almost 800 sequential read that's faster than a lot of people's SATA, 3 SSDs 4k random reads and write on both devices. Very good really fast speeds here now on to 4G speeds, both of them get very quick speeds, but for some reason could it has been the time of the day they were slightly apart. When I did this test, you can see that the Mi 6 gets the faster speeds here, but I would rate them as equal really when it comes to 4G performance and the same goes for wireless performance. So my fiber optic line that I have can get 300 just over 300 megabits per second.

Both of these Mobile's are able to achieve the full speed of my line over wireless AC, which is quite rare because it has to have a very good chipset to be able to do this most mobiles top out around 200. Some get a lot less now. The range on both of these is also very good. I have no complaints at all with wireless speeds right so time for a little speed test. I have no apps, so both the memory has been cleared on both of them nothing running there. In the background. Just to get an idea of real world use performance to see how fast the same apps load up so calorie camera. That seems to be almost equal, maybe faster on the S8, and I saw Speedtest that popped up faster on the Mi 6 and look's like that. Was quicker on a Galaxy s8 Geekbench for that loaded up faster on the Mi 6. Asphalt extreme, even though it started slower. The galaxy is a 2 1 that one there okay, now I'm, going to go over to recent apps and just go back to the camera. Again, don't particularly like doing these speed tests, I don't really believe in them too much, but it is a good idea to see that they're almost about even on performance, thanks a lot for watching this video here now, if you do want to see the camera comparison, Make sure you check that one out to see which one of these Mobile's has the best camera performance – oh and forgot, to mention as well there's a huge difference in price between these.

Of course, this cost me at the time of this review about 500 euros, and I bought this on the 20th of April and that costs me eight hundred and nine euros. The SI so a lot more expensive, so there's a big difference there when it comes to value your money.
